Doctors and the AGO
Ever since I was 8 years old and in a rather nasty car accident with my parents I have been back and forth to Toronto for Doctors appointments.
Bloorview Macmillan (Dr. Rumney was the sweetest) when I was a kid, St Mike’s when I turned 18 and needed a grown up Doctor (Dr. Ouchterlony was also amazing), and then now through the Environmental Health Clinic it seems like every hospital in Downtown Toronto.
Yesterday was the Ehler’s Danlos clinic at Toronto General, which we were able to rule out. I am hypermobile (about 30% of the population), but I do not have any issues with my connective tissue which is the main identifier for EDS.
Because we were in walking distance of the Art Gallery of Ontario my sister and I wandered over for lunch and to see what we could see.
Did you know?
If you are 100 km away from the AGO you can qualify for the Long Distance Membership. This allows for 2 cardholders. For $90!
This meant that going twice would pay for the membership. I already know I’m back and forth often enough to enjoy it so it was an easy decision.
