Imogen and the Tadpoles

$50, free shipping

9x12”

Watercolour on paper

In the scent-laden summer garden Imogen collects tadpoles in a little basket to study.

Her pink skirt overflows the bank of the pond and slowly absorbs water, but she is too busy to notice.

Fortunately the pond is shallow.

Not enough water to absorb her completely.

Pull her under amongst the roots and debris that sink to the bottom, refracted sight, looking down and looking up through the ripples, studying in and studying out.
