View of the Blue Mountains from the house, en plein air, 2022

$100.00

11x26”

Painted in one day while recovering from Covid at the end of April.

This view from my window is always changing - subtle shifts of colours; coasting clouds; shadows on trees; mist on mountain; reflected, refracted sunlight.

This particular day was when the grass was just starting to green and spring may stop playing peek-a-boo and truly come.

It is painted on a piece reclaimed from a local cottage that was demolished. This adds history and context to the farm that has been here for at least a century, and the cottage at least 50 years.

For more pictures please contact me and I can send you them, or even better, you can come see the painting in person to make sure that it's perfect for you.
